s barlow* & myself (k baergen)* are going on an adventure.
an adventure to health & wellness.... with plenty of laughs, cries, and various tribulations & triumphs along the way.
feel free to join us (or not, in which case, it doesn't matter) on our journey and see our progress and the various sub journeys we encounter,
*we both have RED hair! hence the name of the blog.... because, let's be honest, we ARE hot tamales!
so here it is:
[i drew out this great plan, but the scanner isn't really working, so bare with us]
RED HOT TAMALES
****eat something within the first hour & a half of being awake (this is VERY important to start your metabolism)
Breakfast: tea/coffee, yogurt, seeds, and a piece of fruit
**
***
Lunch: Meat, Vegetables
***
**
Dinner: Meat, Vegetables
***
**Baby Snack! a piece of fruit or veggies. the benefit of eating a little snack between meals is that it keeps your metabolism moving, therefore making it work overtime, therefore giving you a faster metabolism! it's kind of like giving it a work out - the more regular (in moderation) you work out the more efficient you become.
*** WATER WATER WATER: Drink water when you're having cravings - most cravings are gone in 12 minutes i believe, so the best is to drink WATER. besides, it's ALWAYS good and maybe the only thing you can't get sick of!!! And if you need a little treat to yourself, drink up some Tasty Tea! Tea has what? 2 calories in a 8-12 oz cup... besides, there are plenty of health benefits that go along with it.... for example, Green Teas help kick start your metabolism.
So, come along, if you'd like, and we will post statistics and what happens back and forth. Kind of like letters to each other to keep encouragement and accountability in being a healthier, happier version of ourselves.
love,
k.
ps, i will be in Mexico for two weeks at the end of this month. i will try my hardest to eat as healthy as possible.... but it will be difficult
pps, i will be purchasing a scale soooooooon
ppps, i will begin working out regularly again when i have a running, loving car again!
